Armaryllis Lewis is a woman of faith. She was born and grew up in the Bronx, New York. She graduated with a B.S. in Counseling Psychology and Cum Laude Honors from Martin University. She received the school President’s Tenacity Award. Armaryllis graduated from Indiana University/Purdue University with a Masters in Social Work Degree. Armaryllis is a Paralegal as well as a Certified Trauma Specialist. She is also a Registered Domestic Mediator.
Armaryllis is an entrepreneur who owns and operates Resilient Services, Inc. since 2011. Armaryllis is a domestic violence and sexual assault overcomer. Armaryllis conducts domestic violence assessments and education to individuals and couples who are in high-risk situations. She uses her experiences to help others heal from their trauma.
From 2000 to 2022, Armaryllis owned and operated 6 transitional houses for men, women and children involved in the criminal justice system, substance abuse community, child welfare, and mental health system. Giving direct and administrative care, Armaryllis worked diligently to assist others in their recovery journey.
By providing services to community-wide agencies such as Choices, Dept. of Child Services, Child Mental Health Wrap Program, Family Preservation, Inner Beauty, Anita Harden Elder Law Office, Recovery Works, The Domestic Violence Network, The Miller Group, Westside Community Ministries 2, Haugville Association, the Faith-Based Community and others, Armaryllis works with fragile families and children assisting in the preservation and reunification of individual households and communities. Armaryllis provides therapy and crisis intervention for the State of Indiana Systems of Care. She works with teams to combat poverty, injustice, and advocates for fairness for all. Armaryllis is on the board of the Family Care Counsel through Voices, Inc.
Armaryllis is a Chaplin who has worked with those receiving hospice and palliative care. Armaryllis is an adoptive mother and has seven adult sons. She has 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Armaryllis likes to walk, do Pilates and engage in Mindfulness activities. She also likes to travel and desires one day to own a motor home to travel cross-country. She is a champion for self-care.
